The Hilarious Reason Groom Divorces His Wife TWO HOURS After Wedding

Advertorial By Jimmy Fisher|

The course of love seldom does run smooth and ain't that the truth, but few folks have it as rough as a pair of newly-weds from Canada  for whom a $1.3 Million CAD online casino win heralded the end of the romance.

Steve and Marie hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons, because their marriage lasted less than 2 hours.

What happened? Well it's the thing that always goes wrong... money.

The couple had an unusual engagement. He was a high flying city banker and she working as a waitress in a cocktail bar... (yes yes we all know the song).

Anyway his high society folks insisted they signed a pre-nuptial agreement. The plan was to ensure his spouse to be, charming as she was, had no shovel for gold digging. We believe there was a little bit of fuss at first, but to be fair her hubby to be was no Donald Trump. So save for maybe a nice car, she wasn't looking to lose out that much. So she signed the deal and all was well until the big day itself.

So what went wrong?

It turns out pre-nupts work both ways. The fuel hit the fire when the bride to be was fiddling with her phone during her final dress fitting. The bored bride signed up for a free casino deal on her mobile. Before she could get the corset on, her $5 turned into $1.3M CAD after scooping the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot.
“I was so bored... have you ever been to a dress fitting? It's like you're just sitting there dressed as a snow-monster and this miserable bitch is sticking pins in your ass. So I when I saw the 100 free chances to win a jackpot deal on Captain Cooks Casino, I thought why not! I don't know if god was feeling sorry for me or maybe I'd found a glitch in the Matrix but BAM less than ten spins in and I was rich.”

So she ran straight to tell Steve right? To share the good news that they could tear up the pre-nuptial agreement because she was now about twice as well of as he was? Eh... well no. Instead she decided to whisper the news to him as they shared their vows in front of their relatives and in the eyes of God. Rumor has it the wedding photos are a riot.

The official reason for filing for divorce was unreconcilable differences, but sources close to the groom suggest it might have been the simple fact that Marie had more cash than Steve that prompted him to throw his rattle and call off the show.

So the moral of the story ( or should that be immoral?) is... if you're going to get married to someone, make sure you can trust them before agreeing to spend the rest of your life with them.

But enough about Steve and Marie from Calgary, if you won a fat stack of cash would you share it or sit on it?

If the prenup goes that far, I wonder what else is in it. It must be a long list and probably makes 'hilarious' reading. Anyway, he is the loser, not her.
